If you drive your Lotus in a very sporty way (even when only on roads), the OEM clutch reaches its limits soon - also if you drive your car with a higher power output or if you want to have some trackday fun with your Lotus. The OEM-clutch quickly gets too hot and wears out soon. In addition, the OEM starter ring tends to break on high loads which can cause fatal engine damages. This is why we recommend for very sporty driving on roads, carefree trackday-fun and power outputs of up to 500hp the JUBU single disc sports clutch (road & track) incl. steel flywheel with integrated starter ring. This is a good solution for very sporty drivers and some nice trackday fun.

 

For very heavy trackday usage, racing or higher power outputs of 500 to 700+hp, we recommend the JUBU Twin disc sports clutch (road, track, race) incl. steel flyweel with integrated starter ring. This twin disc clutch system is one of the most robust systems for Lotus V6 cars with manual gearbox on the market. It's suitable for hardest racing purposes but also provides full everyday driver capabilities for road use.

 

When using a high performance sport clutch which is more robust than the OEM part, it is highly recommended to get rid of the OEM flywheel and starter ring which is a well known weak spot. This is why our sport clutch kit always comes with the JUBU high-strength steel flywheel with integrated starter ring to ensure a maximum of stability and durability.

  • No need for spacers, the steel flywheel links directly to the crankshaft
  • Plug & Play replacement for the OEM clutch
  • Due to design there will be a slight, audible rattling of the clutch when the engine is on idle
  • State-of-the-art system, this JUBU system is also used as OEM component within the Lotus Type 62-2 coachbuilt by Radford supercars

TIPP: For sporty driving on roads, gentle trackday fun and power outputs below 500hp, the JUBU single disc sports clutch (road & track) incl. steel flywheel with integrated starter ring is a sufficient solution

 

NOTE: We highly recommend not to use aluminium flywheels, the alloy is not robust enough for high loads.
